Three moons above Istanbul

I was standing on a rooftop in Cihangir. There were three moons over the Bosphorus, low and large, the same color as turned silver. Nobody on the street looked up. A flock of birds passed in front of each one in turn, like a clock.

• Istanbul has shown up twice this month.
• Birds-as-timing has appeared in two earlier dreams.
